The best photos that I can think of are behind a piece of plastic, adhered to a yellowing white page of cardstock, in a photo album made of fake leather. In that fake leather photo album, are such real moments that I would never trade for the world. We can all relate to that feeling of nostalgia.
For as long as I can remember, going through photos and looking back on memories has always given me a sense of where I am today. It happens almost instantly, immediately after I look at a set of photos regardless of their age. It can be an old photo of me and my grandma, an annual family Christmas photo, asking my wife to stand at a certain spot so I can take her portrait, taking photos of my daughter while she’s sitting in a high chair with blueberry puree on her face. Each time I choose to bring the camera to my eye, it’s another moment in time when I feel blessed to be alive.
Whether a photo is tucked away in an old family album with the sticky backs and plastic covers, or saved on my hard drive for quick access to view on my laptop, the affect is always the same: I am simply moved by frozen moments in time, because I am thankful for each day.
I am here because I want to continue to keep on doing just that: freeze life's moments as best as I can, and starting this website will enable me to extend my world to you, in what I hope to be a visually pleasing way.
